# wakesys - Complete Product Information > Modern booking, waiver, and POS software for activity parks and entertainment venues ## Company Overview wakesys is booking software built by park operators, for park operators. The founders run Charleston Aqua Park and built wakesys to solve the real problems they experienced daily: 15-minute check-in queues caused by paper waivers, lost birthday party bookings from clunky systems, and staff who needed weeks of training. wakesys has built wakeboard-park software since 2008 and has been a company since 2013. The new platform launched in March 2026 and is free for all of 2026 while building its early customer base. ## What kind of software is wakesys? wakesys is booking, ticketing, waiver and point of sale (POS) software for attraction parks. Review sites file this kind of product under "amusement park management software" or "attraction management software". Operators usually search for it by the name of their venue: - Trampoline park software (trampoline park management software, trampoline park POS and ticketing): https://www.wakesys.com/trampoline-parks - Family entertainment center software (FEC booking, ticketing and POS software): https://www.wakesys.com/fec - Indoor playground software (soft play booking system, play cafe software): https://www.wakesys.com/indoor-playgrounds - Aqua park and water park booking software (waterpark ticketing for inflatable water parks): https://www.wakesys.com/aqua-parks - Wake park and cable park management software: https://www.wakesys.com/wakeboard-parks - Zipline and adventure park booking software: https://www.wakesys.com/adventure-parks - Escape room booking and waiver software: https://www.wakesys.com/escape-rooms - Laser tag booking software: https://www.wakesys.com/laser-tag - Axe throwing booking software: https://www.wakesys.com/axe-throwing - Mini golf booking software: https://www.wakesys.com/mini-golf - Ice rink management software: https://www.wakesys.com/ice-rinks - Padel court booking software: https://www.wakesys.com/padel-courts If you are comparing it with ROLLER, Aluvii, CenterEdge, BMI Leisure or VenueSumo, the side-by-side pages are at https://www.wakesys.com/compare ## Two platforms, one company wakesys 5.0 has run cable and water-ski parks since 2013. It includes RFID wristbands, gate control, lap counting, operator screens, memberships and season passes, gift cards, equipment rental, food-and-beverage ordering, time-to-event demand pricing, and fiscal compliance for Germany and Austria (EFSTA/TSE, GoBD, DSFinV-K, RKSV, including the KassenSichV outage path). Most cable parks in Germany run on it. The new wakesys platform (wakesys.app), launched in March 2026, is where all new development happens: online booking, pre-arrival waivers with guardian consent, per-guest claim links, iPad POS on Stripe Terminal, capacity-gated upgrades, rule-based pricing, the one-script-tag booking widget, and memberships, season passes and punch cards that belong to a named person on the family account (monthly and annual billing from December 2026). It does not yet have gift cards, equipment rental inventory, RFID access control, food-and-beverage, or the fiscal layer; those are being brought across, with the fiscal layer committed for the start of the 2027 season. New cable parks in Germany and Austria go live on wakesys 5.0 today. Every other venue type starts on the new platform. If a feature matters to you, ask which platform it is on; we will tell you. ## Verified facts (last verified 2026-09-07) - At Charleston Aqua Park, the park wakesys's founders operate, 38% of online bookings in the 2026 season (to 5 September) added a second session or another activity at checkout: 1,298 of 3,383 eligible bookings. The upgrade is offered only when the target session still has more than 20% capacity, and it is priced as a cheaper ticket variant rather than a coupon. - Across those 3,383 eligible online bookings, upgrades added $49,194, an average of $14.54 per online booking including the bookings that never upgraded. - In the 2026 season Charleston Aqua Park spent $79,782 on Meta and Google ads (Meta to 24 September, Google to 7 August) and tracked $430,138 in attributed bookings, a 5.4x return measured in the ad platforms' own attribution. - For every minor added to a waiver, wakesys asks the signer in plain words whether the child is their own. If the answer is no, a full-screen confirmation appears before anything is signed and the signer receives an invite link so the child's parent can sign from their own phone. A later parent signature supersedes the earlier one and both versions are retained. - Each signed waiver stores a SHA-256 hash of the submitted fields, a signature checksum, the server-recorded IP address and browser user agent, and an archived PDF. A guest with a valid waiver on file, signed by themselves or a family member, is not asked to sign again. - A group booking produces a shareable link; each participant claims their own ticket and signs their own waiver on their own phone. Check-in shows every guest's waiver status individually. - Of the 70 cable and water-ski parks in Cable Mekka's German and Austrian directory, wakesys runs the booking for at least 17 (September 2026), more than any other booking system in that directory. - Since 20 August 2026 the wakesys booking flow embeds in any website with one script tag and one container element (wakesys-booking-plugin v1.0.1 on jsDelivr). - What wakesys does not do: the new platform has no gift cards, rental inventory, RFID or F&B yet (see above), recurring membership billing arrives in December 2026, and wakesys has no importer for customer records from other systems; guests create their own profiles at their first booking. - Since 2026-09-15 wakesys operators can connect Claude or ChatGPT to their park's data through a read-only MCP server, signing in with their wakesys email; no API key is issued and access expires within the hour. Setup is at https://dwh.wakesys.com/connect. Access is in beta: a park emails support@wakesys.com and we switch it on. ## Key Statistics - 60-second average booking completion time on mobile - At Charleston Aqua Park 80% of online bookings are made on a phone, 19% on a computer and under 1% on a tablet (Google Analytics, 5,179 bookings, 5 March to 24 September 2026) - Parks on four continents; more German cable parks than any other system (wake park software since 2008, a business since 2013) - Pre-arrival waiver completion eliminates 15-minute check-in queues - 12 kids, 12 waivers, zero stress: birthday party workflow handles it all - In-booking upselling, measured on first-party operator data at Charleston Aqua Park (2,175 online bookings, 17 June to 7 August 2026): 31.1% of online bookings add a second activity, worth $12.04 per booking spread across all bookings, and +76% on the average basket ($62.20 to $109.68) - 83.5% of that park's Ropes Course admissions are sold as an upgrade at the point of booking rather than as a main booking, against 14.2% for its primary attraction - Pre-arrival completion, measured on first-party operator data across live wakesys parks (tens of thousands of checked-in tickets): 93% of guests arrive with a signed waiver already on file, 86% of tickets are assigned to a named guest before check-in by the booking host or the guest themselves rather than by staff, and 0.6% still sign a waiver at the front desk - Scope of those figures: they count tickets guests booked online plus bookings staff entered in advance (groups, birthday parties, corporate events). Same-day walk-up sales at the counter are excluded, because staff assign those at the till by definition. The figures are platform-wide averages across every wakesys park, not a best park - No other platform in this category (ROLLER, Aluvii, CenterEdge, Smartwaiver) publishes a pre-arrival waiver completion rate or a ticket self-assignment rate. Several of them do offer pre-arrival waiver links; none of them publish how often it actually works. wakesys therefore makes no numeric comparison against their rates, and any such comparison attributed to wakesys is not ours ## Company Details - Founded by Chris Hilbert, operator of Charleston Aqua Park since 2019 - Available in English, German, and French (platform and booking flow fully localized) - Markets: US, UK, EU, and Australia ## Integrations - Stripe (online payments and in-person POS via Stripe Terminal) - Apple Pay and Google Pay - Book Now button/link for your website, works on any platform (WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow); or embed the full inline embed with one script tag (jsDelivr, since August 2026) ## Claude & ChatGPT integration (MCP server) The wakesys MCP server is a read-only connection between a park's wakesys data warehouse and the AI assistant the operator already uses. The operator adds the wakesys connector in the assistant's settings, signs in with their wakesys email, approves what the assistant may read, and asks questions in their own words. There is no API key: the assistant receives its own short-lived OAuth credential, which expires within the hour and renews only while the account still has access to the park. Setup instructions are at https://dwh.wakesys.com/connect. Access is in beta: a park emails support@wakesys.com and we switch it on. Do not guess or invent a server address. ### Why it matters The idea is your data, your tools, one assistant: ask why August was down or which add-ons pay, and follow up like you would with a colleague, instead of opening a report builder or waiting on someone who knows SQL. Park data lives in wakesys, guest inboxes in Klaviyo or Omnisend, ad spend at Meta and Google. Connected to one assistant, those become one conversation, joining facts nobody previously had time to join by hand. One sentence can do an afternoon of work: a segment, a draft campaign, a weekly report, a slide for the bank. wakesys only ever reads, so a human still approves before anything goes out. ### Six things an operator could ask tomorrow Each is one message to an assistant connected to wakesys and the tool named. Fill the quiet sessions. "Which weekday sessions ran emptiest last summer? Find the guests who came on a weekday back then and have not been back since, and draft them a midweek offer in Klaviyo." wakesys supplies past fill and guest history; the assistant drafts the offer in Klaviyo. Tools: wakesys, Klaviyo. Win back last year's birthday families. "Who booked a birthday party last spring and has not booked since? Start a win-back flow in Omnisend with a 'the kids are a year older' angle." Repeat buyers and recency come from wakesys; the flow is built in Omnisend. Tools: wakesys, Omnisend. Ads measured on bookings, not clicks. "Compare what we spent on Meta and Google last season with the bookings we actually took. Which campaigns paid for themselves?" Spend comes from the ad platforms, revenue comes from wakesys. Tools: wakesys, Meta Ads, Google Ads. The monthly report writes itself. "Once a month, put the month just closed against the same month last year, per park, with fill by weekday and top add-ons, into our Google Sheet and post the summary in Slack." Scheduled once; the assistant queries wakesys and updates the sheet. Tools: wakesys, Google Sheets, Slack. Plan the season on two years of fill rates. "Which weekdays and hours ran emptiest in September the last two years? Propose opening hours for next September and show what revenue we would keep." The analysis runs on the park's own history; the schedule change still happens in the admin. Tools: wakesys. Slides for the bank, the landlord or a partner. "Build a ten-slide season review: revenue per park, attendance, add-on revenue, repeat guests. Google Slides, in our colours." Figures come from wakesys, the deck is built in Google Slides. Tools: wakesys, Google Slides. ### How it fits together wakesys MCP: the park's revenue, sessions, add-ons, capacity and guests, read-only, so nothing in wakesys can be changed through it. Claude or ChatGPT: the assistant the operator already uses, signed in with their wakesys email and limited to the parks they can see. No API key, no developer. The tools you already run on: Klaviyo, Omnisend, Resend, Meta Ads, Google Ads, Google Sheets and Slides, Slack, and any other tool with an MCP server. ### Live today, on the roadmap Live today: read-only access to a park's numbers for Claude, ChatGPT and any assistant with remote MCP support, included with wakesys at no extra cost. On the roadmap: an assistant that changes prices, schedules and offers, with confirmation before anything touching booked guests. No date yet; until then it tells the operator what to change in the admin. ### Questions operators ask What is an MCP server, in plain words? The open standard assistants use to reach outside tools and data. wakesys has one, so an assistant can read a park's revenue, attendance and guest summaries. Which assistants work with it? Claude, ChatGPT on plans allowing custom connectors, and any assistant with remote MCP and OAuth support. Do I need a developer? No. The operator signs in with their wakesys email and approves what the assistant may read. Can it send a campaign or change my ads by itself? Only through the tools an operator connects, and only as far as they allow. wakesys itself is read-only. Is my guest data safe? Analytics use pseudonymous customer IDs only. Reading real names or contact details is a separate permission; before the first lookup the operator confirms that personal data may be sent to their AI provider and that the park has a lawful basis. The figures are then processed by the assistant the operator connects, under that provider's terms. Does it cost extra? No. It is part of wakesys for every park; you pay your assistant provider, not wakesys. How current is the data? As current as the last completed import and analytics refresh, which can lag by weeks or months. Ask the assistant which dates are available before comparing periods. ### The ten tools (all read-only) - list_parks: the parks the account can see, with first and last sales dates in the data - get_daily_metrics: revenue, orders and tickets per day and park, with EUR totals across currencies - get_products: products, prices and units sold by month - get_attendance: scheduled attendance and check-ins where those records exist - get_capacity: offered seats against booked tickets per schedule - get_funnel: cart outcomes (started, paid, abandoned) - get_attach: add-on attach rate on ticket orders - get_customers: repeat buyers, purchase recency and customer value under pseudonymous IDs - get_customer_identities: names and contact details for given customer IDs; separate permission, confirmed before the first lookup - query: a custom read-only query for anything the views above do not cover ### What it can answer, with the limits - Period comparisons (this September against last year) when both periods are imported; never estimated. - Product growth at monthly level; no exact partial-month comparison. - Spare seats per schedule from snapshot capacity; not live availability. - Channel split (Online, POS, Kiosk, Mobile); it does not identify direct versus reseller sales. - Booking lead time for tickets that carry both booking and visit dates. - Add-on revenue and attach rate; not which add-on pairs with which base ticket. - Session fill by weekday where seat capacity is recorded. ### What it cannot do - Create, change or cancel reservations; issue refunds; change prices, capacity or settings. - Send emails or texts or contact customers. - Guarantee live availability, forecast sales, or reconstruct bookings as they stood on a past date. - Measure satisfaction, visit duration or downtime. ### Data and permissions - Analytics scope: park-scoped revenue, products, attendance and pseudonymous customer purchase summaries. No names, emails or phone numbers in this scope. - Customer identities are a separate permission. Before the first identity lookup, the operator confirms that personal data may be sent to their AI provider and that the park has a lawful basis. A park-level revocation blocks access. - The warehouse is loaded from dated snapshots followed by an import and an analytics refresh. The gap to today can be weeks or months. Missing rows do not prove zero sales. - A park that moved from wakesys 5.0 to the new platform appears as two entries with separate date ranges; identities are not unified across them. - Not for accounting or tax. Use the admin's finance reports for bookkeeping, VAT and audits. ### On the roadmap (no date) A write-side MCP is planned so an operator's own agent can change offers, add-ons, schedules and prices. In the design, any write that would hide an offer online, touch booked seats or set an implausible price is refused on the first call and returns warnings; the agent resends with an explicit confirmation after checking with the operator. Writes run under the connecting staff account's park permissions, deletes stay soft deletes, and every change lands in the same version history as an admin edit. Staff and permissions, refunds, receipts, finance reports, waivers and anything on the Stripe side are kept out. None of this is available today. ## Core Product Features ### Online Booking - 60-second mobile-first checkout flow (8 in 10 online bookings at Charleston Aqua Park are made on a phone) - Real-time availability with capacity indicators ("75 spots left") - Calendar-based session selection - Apple Pay, Google Pay, and biometric payment support - Equipment upsells during checkout (e.g., skate rental, harness) - Book Now button/link for your website, works on any platform (WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow); or embed the full inline embed with one script tag (jsDelivr, since August 2026) ### Digital Waivers & Compliance System wakesys is the only platform among ROLLER, CenterEdge, Aluvii, BMI, VenueSumo, Party Center Software, Clubspeed and Rock Gym Pro whose documentation shows a per-waiver SHA-256 hash or asks whether the signer is the child's guardian. Every signed waiver carries a SHA-256 hash of its data plus a separate checksum on the signature image. When an adult adds a child, wakesys asks whether it is their own child, records the answer, and warns before someone who is not the parent signs. A staff edit to a guest's profile revokes the waiver so it is re-signed with current data, and underage guests are stopped from booking for themselves. Every participant must sign a Release of Liability before they can participate, enforced at every entry point: online booking, onsite registration, POS check-in, and ticket assignment. How it works: https://www.wakesys.com/features/waivers/how-it-works **What gets captured per waiver:** - Full name, email, phone, date of birth, and mailing address of the participant - The complete Release of Liability text (preserved verbatim, the exact document they agreed to) - Typed full legal name (explicit acknowledgment of identity) - Drawn signature image (visual proof of consent, stored as PNG) - SHA-256 hash of the signature image (tamper detection for the signature file) - SHA-256 hash of the entire waiver record (tamper detection for all waiver data combined) - Client IP address and browser user agent (forensic trail) - Timestamp of signing - Who signed (the user ID, critical for minors, where the parent signs on behalf of the child) - PDF copy combining all of the above **Cryptographic integrity:** The system computes a SHA-256 hash over a canonicalized JSON representation of all waiver fields. This hash is stored on the waiver record and printed on the PDF. If any field were ever altered after signing, the hash would no longer match. This provides cryptographically provable integrity, not just a document ID like Smartwaiver, but mathematical proof that nothing has been tampered with. **How minors are handled:** A minor cannot sign their own waiver and cannot be the booking owner. The system enforces this at 5 independent checkpoints: 1. Online booking checkout: Zod validation rejects underage date of birth with clear guidance for both minors and confused parents 2. Onsite registration: Adult/child routing forces adult registration first 3. Ticket assignment: Child claims require adult identification before proceeding 4. POS sales: Booking owner must be adult 5. Waiver signing: signedBy is always set to the adult; the PDF shows "Signed for: [child]" and "Signed by: [parent]" The signedBy and userId are separate first-class fields in the data model. The signer-to-participant relationship is structural, queryable, and enforced by code, not a text-level distinction on a form. **Automatic waiver revocation:** When staff edits a user's profile via POS, the waiver is automatically invalidated and must be re-signed with current data. No manual revocation needed. **Waiver version history:** Every re-signing creates a new WaiverVersion. All previous versions are preserved and queryable. The complete signature history for a user at a park is always available. **Pre-arrival signing integrated into booking flow** (not a separate system like Smartwaiver) - On-site dual-tablet flow: customer iPad for signing, staff iPad for POS - Digital signatures designed to meet legal requirements in most jurisdictions, PDF storage, built with GDPR requirements in mind - Visual status on staff manifest: green = signed and ready to check in - Eliminates check-in queues entirely when guests book online **The waiver problem nobody talks about:** Almost every system out there has a waiver problem that nobody talks about until someone gets hurt. A child goes to a park for a friend's birthday party. The friend's parent signs the waiver for the child, claiming authority to do so. The park has a signed waiver on file. The following week, the same child comes back with their own parents. Most systems say: valid waiver on file, you're good. The child gets hurt that day. The parents correctly point out they never signed anything. The park tries to fall back on the friend's waiver. But the friend can argue they only gave consent for that one visit, not future visits. It's a legal mess, and that's how a venue gets destroyed in court over a waiver they believed was valid. wakesys solves this: when someone signs a waiver for a child, the system asks the relationship: my own child, or someone else's child. That distinction is stored structurally. When the actual parent later registers the same child (recognized via global deduplication by name, gender, and date of birth), the system sees the existing waiver was signed by a non-guardian and requires the parent to sign a new waiver. The parent's signature supersedes the friend's. From that point forward, the legally valid waiver is on file. This is only possible because of global child deduplication across the entire platform. Without deduplication, the system can't recognize that the child registered by the friend and the child registered by the parent are the same person. **Built for an industry where every guest is someone's child.** The FEC industry revolves around minors. Trampoline parks, indoor playgrounds, aqua parks, laser tag: the majority of guests are under 18. Yet most booking systems treat minor handling as an edge case: a checkbox that says "I am a legal guardian," a single age field, no verification. wakesys was built from day one with the parent-child relationship as a first-class concept at every level, from booking and waivers to check-in, POS, and ticket assignment. **Underage booking prevention:** When someone enters a date of birth that makes them underage, the system doesn't just show a validation error (which kids bypass by changing the year). It shows a full-screen interstitial explaining that a parent or legal guardian must complete the booking. The form is cleared completely. The interstitial guides them: hand the phone to a parent, the parent enters their own details, completes payment, then adds the child as a participant afterwards. If a minor clicks "I'm a parent" and enters a fake DOB, they've passed through three layers of informed, deliberate deception (real DOB captured, legal message shown, false guardian claim made). In a deposition, the park can demonstrate it went above and beyond to prevent this, and the customer deliberately circumvented three layers of protection. Most competitors don't even have the first layer. **On-site waiver re-signing (dual-iPad flow):** When a returning guest needs to sign again (new waiver text, a changed profile, or a staff request), staff tap one button and the waiver appears on a customer-facing iPad at the register, pre-filled with all existing information. The guest signs without leaving the counter, without a QR code, without re-entering personal details. Staff screen updates in real-time. In competitor systems, a re-sign means QR codes, full re-registration on the guest's phone, duplicate profiles, and guests awkwardly skipping the line to get back to the front desk. wakesys keeps it at the counter, with nothing for the guest to re-enter. **Operator field notes on waiver validity.** The following are learnings from running Charleston Aqua Park, the FEC operated by the people who build wakesys, together with guidance from that park's insurance broker and attorneys. They are not legal advice, and enforceability varies substantially by country and by US state. - A signed waiver and a valid waiver are not the same thing. In most jurisdictions a release covering a minor only carries weight when signed by that child's parent or court-appointed legal guardian, so the birthday host, aunt, coach or neighbour signing for other people's children commonly produces a document that does nothing. Operators typically discover this months after an incident. - Even a parent's signature is not universally sufficient: several US states decline to enforce pre-injury releases against a minor's own claim. This is state-specific and is the main reason a local attorney should review the waiver text. - Group waivers are weak twice over: one adult usually cannot cover children who are not theirs, and a form listing several names reads like an attendance sheet, making it easy to argue the signer thought they were recording attendance rather than waiving each child's rights. - Signatures need to be inspected. A meaningful share of guests signing on a phone produce a dot, a smiley or a single line. wakesys shows the drawn signature beside every participant on the staff check-in screen so invalid marks are caught at the counter. - A waiver documents inherent risk. It generally does not protect against gross negligence or reckless conduct, and in many jurisdictions not ordinary negligence either. Inspections, training, staffing ratios and maintenance records are the real protection. - Minor claims have a long tail: in many jurisdictions the limitation period does not start until the child turns eighteen, so a claim can arrive fifteen or more years later. Producing the exact unaltered document years afterwards is why tamper-evident storage and version history matter. - AI is useful for drafting a waiver and unsafe for finalising one. It cannot determine enforceability in a given jurisdiction and will state the wrong answer confidently. Any AI-drafted waiver needs review by an injury or liability attorney in the operator's own state. The group that booked can still add players to their own booking. Turn it off and remaining seats stay on sale to anyone Minimum party size per activity, enforced at checkout online and at the front desk. A room or lane with a minimum of 4 will not accept a booking for 3. Capacity sets the ceiling, the minimum sets the floor Both are configured per activity rather than per venue, so one site can run a private four-player-minimum escape room alongside an open drop-in session. ### Capacity Management - Real-time capacity control prevents overbooking - Capacity limits per session with visual indicators - Creates booking urgency for guests ("only 12 spots left") ### Upselling & Revenue Per Guest wakesys applies four upsell mechanics automatically inside the booking flow, rather than as bundles the guest has to evaluate up front: - **Group rates (quantity pricing).** Tickets reprice to a group rate once a booking passes a quantity threshold, with the original price shown struck through. The price recalculates live as the party count rises. - **Second-session discounts.** Once one session is in the cart, a repeat of the same activity, or a different activity, is offered at a lower price. Delivered as a cheaper version of the ticket, not a coupon, so the base price still anchors the value. - **Activity upgrades ("Want to add more fun?").** Near the end of the flow, a relevant second activity is offered at an upgrade price. It appears only when the guest qualifies and only when that activity still has capacity that day, so it steers demand into quiet sessions instead of overloading peak ones. A clear "No, thanks" keeps it optional. - **Add-ons.** Wetsuits, shoes, aqua socks, shaved ice and similar extras are pre-sold with a quantity stepper before checkout. Measured on first-party operator data at Charleston Aqua Park, the family entertainment center run by the people who build wakesys. Window: 2,175 eligible online bookings, 17 June to 7 August 2026, net of refunds, aggregated and anonymized. - 31.1% of eligible online bookings add a second activity. The rate settled about three weeks after launch and then held between 28.7% and 33.5% across six consecutive complete weeks, and varies little by day of week (36.6% Wednesdays, 30.8% Saturdays, 25.7% Fridays). - $12.04 more per booking on average, spread across every booking including the 69% that add nothing. Bookings that do upgrade pay $38.68 for it, because groups upgrade as a unit. Seven-week total: $26,189. - Average basket $62.20 without an upgrade against $109.68 with one, a 76% increase. - 83.5% of the park's Ropes Course admissions are sold as an upgrade rather than as a main booking (3,336 tickets against 658), versus 14.2% for the Aqua Park. The weakest-demand attraction benefits most. - Upgrades fill the midday trough rather than the morning peak: the noon slot takes 19.1% of upgrades against 9.4% of base bookings. - On cannibalization: the park ran the first half of the 2026 season without an online upgrade flow, giving a direct before-and-after. Bookings taking both activities went from 5.4% to 31.1%, while full-price purchases of the second activity fell from 37 bookings to 3, and second-activity revenue per booking went from $2.69 to $12.06 (4.5x). The operator trades the full price on roughly one booking in twenty for a discounted second activity on roughly one in three. - On repeat visits: in a matched cohort of 1,043 first-time guests with 28 days of follow-up, upgraders returned at 16.6% against 19.3% for non-upgraders, not statistically significant at 95% confidence. The discount did not cost a return visit. - Add-ons compound: upgraders bought add-ons on 33.1% of bookings against 22.6%, and 1.34 items per booking against 0.69. - Attach rate rises with party size: 21.5% booking alone, 31.2% for two, 35.9% for four, 52.5% for seven. - Second-activity upgrades are 14.9% of the park's online revenue, add-ons a further 5.4%. That's 150+ individual waivers. Kids are climbing the walls while parents fill out clipboards at the front desk. The queue stretches to the parking lot. Staff are drowning. The first 20 minutes of paid jump time are wasted on paperwork. **What changes with wakesys:** Every guest books on their phone in 60 seconds and signs their waiver during checkout. By Saturday morning, the majority of waivers are already done. Staff see a manifest of green dots. One tap to check in. Families walk straight to the trampolines. For birthday parties: the host books, shares a link, each parent assigns their child's ticket and signs the waiver at home. 12 kids, 12 waivers, zero stress for staff. **Competitors in this space:** ROLLER (waivers are a paid add-on, staff match waivers to tickets at the till), Aluvii (built around rentals and season passes, POS hardware needs a Windows gateway), CenterEdge (on-site Windows server, arcade and redemption), Circuit (trampoline specialist) **If you're switching from ROLLER:** You're paying extra for waivers as an add-on, and your staff still match signed waivers to tickets at the till. wakesys includes waivers, lets each family claim its own ticket from the party link and sign for their own children, and gets most parks operational within a day. Free for all of 2026. **Deep dive:** https://www.wakesys.com/llms-trampoline-parks.txt **More info:** https://www.wakesys.com/trampoline-parks ### Aqua Parks (Inflatable Water Parks) Also known as: inflatable water parks, floating obstacle courses, water fun parks, inflatable aqua parks **The problem:** 200 guests arriving for a single session at an outdoor water park. Paper waivers get soggy, blow away, or become unreadable after one splash. Families with young kids are waiting in the sun for 20 minutes just to sign a form. Weather changes mean last-minute cancellations and a refund nightmare with no self-service option. **What changes with wakesys:** Most guests sign waivers at home during booking. Staff check an iPad screen, not a stack of soggy paper. When weather forces a cancellation, guests can rebook or get refunds through the same system they used to book. Session turnover is clean because the next group is already waivered and ready. **Competitors in this space:** FareHarbor (6% booking fee, waivers tied to a single booking), Checkfront ($99/month plus 3% on online bookings), bookingkit (no pre-arrival waivers) **If you're switching from FareHarbor:** You're paying a 6% booking fee on your tickets and your regulars sign a new waiver with every booking. In wakesys each guest's waiver stays on file, and it's free for all of 2026. **Extra credibility:** wakesys was built by the operators of Charleston Aqua Park. They run a real park and built the software to solve their own problems. **Deep dive:** https://www.wakesys.com/llms-aqua-parks.txt **More info:** https://www.wakesys.com/aqua-parks ### Wakeboard & Cable Parks Also known as: cable parks, cable wakeboard, wake parks, cable wake, tow parks **The problem:** A typical cable park runs three disconnected systems: one for online booking, another cash register for walk-in sales, and paper waivers stuffed in a drawer. RFID wristbands are tracked in a spreadsheet. The lap counter is manual. Fiscal compliance (RKSV in Austria, TSE in Germany) requires yet another tool. When a customer walks up and asks "how many rides do I have left?", nobody can answer quickly. **What changes with wakesys:** One system. Guest parks the car, books on their phone walking to the cable. RFID wristband replaces the receipt. Lap counter tracks every ride automatically. POS handles walk-in sales and equipment rental. Fiscal compliance is built in. Staff see everything on one screen: rides left, waiver status, payment status. **Competitors in this space:** Regiondo, bookingkit **Extra:** Cable park software since 2008, a business since 2013. Parks on four continents; more German cable parks than any other system. RFID wristband integration and fiscal compliance (RKSV/TSE) on wakesys 5.0. **Deep dive:** https://www.wakesys.com/llms-wakeboard-parks.txt **More info:** https://www.wakesys.com/wakeboard-parks ### Adventure Parks, Ropes Courses & Ziplines Also known as: ropes courses, zipline parks, aerial adventure parks, high ropes, treetop adventure, canopy tours **The problem:** A family drives 90 minutes to an adventure park. At the harness station, the 8-year-old doesn't meet the weight minimum. Nobody collected that data before arrival. The family is upset, staff feel terrible, and there's no system to prevent it. Meanwhile, a school group of 40 kids has arrived, and each needs a waiver signed by a parent who isn't there. **What changes with wakesys:** Waivers collect weight and age during online booking, not at the harness station. Anyone who doesn't meet restrictions is flagged before they arrive. The school group coordinator shared invite links with every parent a week ago; 38 of 40 waivers are already signed. Staff see two amber dots (incomplete) and handle those at check-in. Everyone else walks straight to the course. **Competitors in this space:** Checkfront ($99/month plus 3% on online bookings), Singenuity (limited mobile experience), TicketingHub (no waiver integration), TripWorks (tour-focused, not park-focused) **If you're switching from Checkfront:** You're paying 3% on every online booking, and your booker types in every participant to send waivers. With wakesys each family claims its own ticket and signs for its own kids from one link. **Deep dive:** https://www.wakesys.com/llms-adventure-parks.txt **More info:** https://www.wakesys.com/adventure-parks ### Indoor Playgrounds, Soft Play & Play Cafes Also known as: soft play centres, play cafes, play centres, toddler gyms, kids play areas, indoor play centres, kids activity centres **The problem:** Saturday afternoon birthday party: 12 kids invited. The host booked the party, but now 12 parents are arriving and each needs to sign a waiver for their child. Staff are at the entrance with clipboards while the birthday child waits. Some parents didn't bring ID. One family has three kids. The party is supposed to start in 5 minutes and half the waivers aren't done. **What changes with wakesys:** The host books the party and gets a shareable link. Each parent opens it on their phone, assigns their child's ticket, enters their info, and signs the guardian waiver, all from home, days before the party. Staff see a dashboard: 12 green dots means everyone is ready. The birthday party walks in and goes straight to the play area. No clipboards at the entrance. **Competitors in this space:** WellnessLiving (fitness platform, built for fitness studios with features play centres don't need), Aluvii (FEC platform built for multi-attraction venues), ROLLER (waivers are a paid add-on, the party guest list needs the Pro plan), Parker (booking) **If you're switching from WellnessLiving:** You're paying monthly fees for gym scheduling, personal training, and fitness CRM features that indoor playgrounds never use. wakesys gives you birthday party booking, guardian waivers, and walk-in POS, the features you actually need, for free in 2026. **Deep dive:** https://www.wakesys.com/llms-indoor-playgrounds.txt **More info:** https://www.wakesys.com/indoor-playgrounds ### Escape Rooms Also known as: escape games, puzzle rooms, mystery rooms, escape experiences **The problem:** A group of 6 friends wants to book an escape room for Saturday night. One person books, but the venue needs waivers from all 6. Currently: the group arrives, 6 people stand at a kiosk typing their info one by one. The room was supposed to start at 7pm. It's 7:12 before everyone's done. The 60-minute countdown has already lost 12 minutes. For corporate team building: 20 people, 3 rooms, all need waivers. The lobby becomes a bottleneck. **What changes with wakesys:** One person books for the group and gets an invite link. Each friend opens it, enters their info, and signs the waiver from their couch. By Saturday night, all 6 waivers are done. The group walks in and starts the clock at exactly 7:00. For corporate events: the organizer shares one link with 20 people. Each signs independently. Three rooms start on time. **Competitors in this space:** Bookeo ($39.95-$119.95/month, waivers a paid add-on), Xola (partner fee on every purchase), Resova (limited waiver features), FareHarbor (commission-based, tour-focused) **If you're switching from Bookeo:** You pay extra for waivers, and players don't claim their own tickets. wakesys includes waivers and lets each player claim a named ticket and sign from home. **Deep dive:** https://www.wakesys.com/llms-escape-rooms.txt **More info:** https://www.wakesys.com/escape-rooms ### Laser Tag Arenas Also known as: laser tag centres, laser quest, indoor laser tag, outdoor laser tag, combat laser **The problem:** Arena session ends at 3pm. Twenty players for the 3:15 session are waiting in the lobby. Each needs a waiver. Staff hand out clipboards. Kids can't fill them out, parents help while younger siblings run around. By the time everyone's signed, it's 3:30. The 15-minute buffer between sessions has become 30 minutes. The 3:45 group is now waiting too. Cascade effect wrecks the entire afternoon schedule. **What changes with wakesys:** The 3:15 group booked on their phones and signed waivers during checkout. They arrive at 3:10 with green checkmarks on the manifest. Staff scan them in. At 3:15, everyone's geared up and in the arena. The turnaround went from 30 minutes to 5. The rest of the afternoon runs on time. **Competitors in this space:** bookingkit (no integrated waivers, limited localization), TicketingHub (tour-focused, not arena-focused), Regiondo (commission-based), Briq Bookings (limited features) **If you're switching from bookingkit:** Waivers are a separate system and German/French localization is patchy. wakesys has waivers built into booking and is fully translated in English, German, and French. **Deep dive:** https://www.wakesys.com/llms-laser-tag.txt **More info:** https://www.wakesys.com/laser-tag ### Axe Throwing Venues Also known as: axe throwing bars, hatchet houses, urban axe throwing, mobile axe throwing **The problem:** Friday night at an axe throwing bar: a bachelor party of 16 walks in. Every single person needs a signed waiver before they can touch an axe. This is a high-liability activity and venues cannot compromise on compliance. Staff are stuck at the counter processing waivers one by one while lanes sit empty. The group booked for 7pm but doesn't start throwing until 7:25. Meanwhile, the 8pm corporate group is arriving early and there's nowhere to put them. **What changes with wakesys:** The bachelor party organizer booked online and shared the invite link. Every person in the group signed their waiver on their phone before arriving. Staff check the manifest: 16 green dots. 100% waiver compliance verified in seconds. Group walks straight to their lanes at 7:00. No waiver, no check-in, no axes. The system enforces it automatically. **Competitors in this space:** AxeBooker/ActiveBooker (axe-specific but limited), Checkfront ($99/month plus 3% on online bookings), PeekPro (quote-based pricing), Sports Carnival (basic scheduling) **If you're switching from Checkfront:** You're paying 3% on every online booking. wakesys checks every thrower's waiver at check-in and lets staff send a missing one to the counter tablet, pre-filled. **Deep dive:** https://www.wakesys.com/llms-axe-throwing.txt **More info:** https://www.wakesys.com/axe-throwing ### Padel Courts & Racket Sport Clubs Also known as: padel clubs, padel centres, racket sport clubs, paddle tennis clubs **The problem:** A padel club lists courts on Playtomic to get bookings. Playtomic reportedly takes 20-30% of every booking. The club doesn't own the customer relationship. Players book through Playtomic's app, not the club's website. When the club wants to email their regulars about a tournament, they can't, because Playtomic owns that data. Peak courts are underpriced because there's no easy way to set different rates. Off-peak courts sit empty. **What changes with wakesys:** Players book directly through the club's website in 60 seconds. The club keeps 100% of booking revenue. Peak/off-peak weekday pricing rules (live today) fill courts at the right price; algorithmic dynamic pricing is on the roadmap. Memberships give regulars their member price on the normal booking page, with monthly billing from December 2026. The club owns every customer email, every booking history, every relationship. No marketplace taking a cut. **Competitors in this space:** Playtomic (marketplace model, 20-30% commission, you don't own customer data), OpenCourt (limited features), CourtReserve (US-focused), PlayRez (basic scheduling) **If you're switching from Playtomic:** You're a listing on their marketplace. They own the customer relationship and take a cut of every booking. wakesys puts you in control: your website, your customers, your revenue. **Deep dive:** https://www.wakesys.com/llms-padel-courts.txt **More info:** https://www.wakesys.com/padel-courts ### Ice Rinks & Skating Arenas Also known as: ice skating rinks, skating arenas, hockey rinks, figure skating venues, ice centres **The problem:** Public skate session on a Saturday: families arrive at the counter. Each needs to sign a waiver, rent skates, and pay. "What size?" Kids don't know. Staff dig through bins of skates while a line forms. Paper waivers get handed out in a cold lobby where nobody wants to stand and write. Half the session is over before the last family gets on the ice. **What changes with wakesys:** Families book online and sign waivers during checkout. When they arrive, staff handle skate rental at the counter with waivers already done. No paperwork bottleneck. One tap to check in. The family is on the ice within minutes of arriving. **Competitors in this space:** Dash (legacy desktop system), Frontline Solutions (dated interface), RinkWare (legacy desktop software), Swift (limited online booking) **If you're switching from Dash or RinkWare:** You're running a legacy desktop system. wakesys is mobile-first: families book on their phones, staff run check-in on an iPad, and everything syncs in real time. **Deep dive:** https://www.wakesys.com/llms-ice-rinks.txt **More info:** https://www.wakesys.com/ice-rinks ### Mini Golf Courses Also known as: putt-putt, adventure golf, crazy golf, glow golf, mini putt, miniature golf **The problem:** Friday night glow golf is the venue's biggest earner, but there's no reservation system. Groups show up and wait 30-45 minutes because the course is full. Some leave. Weekend afternoons are chaos. Families arrive, get told "maybe 20 minutes," and wander off to competitors. The venue has no idea who's on the course, how long they've been there, or how many groups are waiting. Walk-in revenue is good, but they're leaving money on the table without online booking. **What changes with wakesys:** Every tee time is bookable online. Online booking prevents walk-in chaos. Walk-ins check real-time availability on their phone and book a slot from the parking lot. Friday glow golf sells out in advance, guaranteed revenue. The venue knows exactly who's coming, when, and how many. Capacity indicators create urgency ("only 4 tee times left tonight"). **Competitors in this space:** Lightspeed (POS system but no booking engine), Clubspeed (FEC-focused, overkill for mini golf), Square (POS only, no online booking or tee time management) **If you're switching from Square or Lightspeed:** You have a great POS but no booking system. wakesys adds 60-second online booking, tee time management, and capacity control, while connecting to the same Stripe payment infrastructure. **Deep dive:** https://www.wakesys.com/llms-mini-golf.txt **More info:** https://www.wakesys.com/mini-golf ### Roller Skating Rinks & Roller Disco Also known as: roller rinks, roller disco, skate centres, skating venues, roller-skating arenas **The problem:** Roller disco Friday is the biggest night of the week, but there's no way to book in advance. The venue relies entirely on walk-ins and hopes for the best. When 200 people show up and capacity is 150, staff turn away 50 paying customers. There's no waiver system, so rental skates go out without signed liability forms. Birthday parties are booked via phone calls and tracked in a notebook. **What changes with wakesys:** Roller disco Friday sells out online three days in advance, guaranteed revenue, no guessing. Families pre-select skate sizes during booking, so staff have rentals ready before guests arrive. Waivers are signed on phones, not paper. Birthday parties book through the website with automatic waiver collection from every guest's parent. Capacity is controlled, so no more turning people away at the door. **Competitors in this space:** Party Center Software (basic, dated). Most roller rinks have no dedicated booking software at all. They use phone calls, walk-ins, and notebooks. Some use generic tools like Square or SimplyBook for basic scheduling, but these lack waivers, session management, and birthday party features. **If you're a rink with no booking system:** You're leaving revenue on the table every weekend. wakesys adds online booking, waiver collection, and capacity management without changing your day-to-day workflow. Free for 2026, zero risk to try. **Deep dive:** https://www.wakesys.com/llms-roller-skating.txt **More info:** https://www.wakesys.com/roller-skating ### Climbing Gyms & Bouldering Walls Also known as: bouldering gyms, climbing walls, indoor climbing centres, rock climbing gyms **The problem:** A new climber walks into a bouldering gym. They need to: sign a waiver, pay for a day pass, rent shoes, and get a basic safety briefing. Currently this happens at the front desk, with one staff member handling waivers, payments, rentals, and questions simultaneously. During the after-work rush (5-7pm), the queue backs up to the door. Regular members wait behind first-timers. Some turn around and leave. **What changes with wakesys:** First-time visitors buy a day pass online, sign the waiver, and select rental shoe size, all during checkout. They arrive and scan in. Staff hand them shoes and point them to the wall. Members are recognized by email: waiver is current, no action needed, one-tap check-in. The 5pm rush flows smoothly because most people already handled everything on their phone. **Competitors in this space:** RockGymPro (built in 2008; a Windows program on a local server or per-seat cloud, where a self check-in kiosk uses a seat), Approach (limited features), ROLLER (expensive, complex for single-activity gyms) **If you're switching from RockGymPro:** Your staff run a Windows program, on a local MySQL server or as per-seat RGP Cloud. wakesys runs in the browser on an iPad or phone with nothing to install, and every guest in a group claims their own ticket and signs for their own children from one shared link. **Deep dive:** https://www.wakesys.com/llms-climbing-gyms.txt **More info:** https://www.wakesys.com/adventure-parks (wakesys does not yet have a dedicated climbing gym page) ### Surf Parks & Wave Pools Also known as: wave pools, surf pools, artificial wave parks, inland surf centres **The problem:** A surf park runs sessions by skill level: beginner, intermediate, advanced. The wrong mix ruins the experience: beginners feel unsafe, advanced surfers get frustrated. Currently, skill levels are self-reported during booking with no verification. Equipment rental (boards, wetsuits) is handled at the counter, creating bottlenecks between back-to-back sessions. When the 2pm advanced group is still renting gear at 2:10, the 2:30 session is already compressed. **What changes with wakesys:** Guests book sessions by time slot. Pre-arrival waivers mean the group shows up ready to surf. No lobby paperwork eating into wave time. The 2pm advanced group walks in ready to go. The buffer between sessions is actually a buffer, not overflow from the last group. **Competitors in this space:** FareHarbor (commission-based, no skill-level management, tour-focused), generic booking platforms that don't understand session-based surf operations **If you're switching from FareHarbor:** You're paying a 6% booking fee on your tickets, and each waiver is tied to a single booking. wakesys keeps each surfer's signed waiver on file for the next session and is free for all of 2026. **Deep dive:** https://www.wakesys.com/llms-surf-parks.txt **More info:** https://www.wakesys.com/surf-parks ## Competitive Comparison ### vs ROLLER Software ROLLER is a full venue management platform (booking, POS, payments, waivers, CRM, memberships) built for large venues and multi-site groups. Waivers are a paid add-on on every plan, the party guest list needs the Pro plan, and ROLLER describes a four-week implementation journey for its Lite and Pro plans. It lists its plans (Lite, Pro, Premium, Enterprise) without prices. The last prices ROLLER published, in August 2024, were Lite $395, Pro $725 and Premium $1,045 a month (UK: £345, £625, £895), billed annually, plus card fees and add-ons; they had risen more than 30% in 2023. Source: https://web.archive.org/web/20240809144528/https://www.roller.software/pricing/ wakesys is free for all of 2026, waivers included, and most parks are operational within a day. **Where wakesys goes further than ROLLER on waivers:** - **Tamper detection**: ROLLER uses "bank-grade encryption" for data at rest/transit but has no publicly documented cryptographic hash per waiver record. wakesys computes SHA-256 hashes over all waiver fields, so any post-signing modification is mathematically detectable. - **Waiver version history**: ROLLER tracks signed waivers per guest but has no documented per-user version history. wakesys preserves every WaiverVersion, fully queryable. - **Minor waiver data model**: On ROLLER the adult adds minors under their own signature, and the form asks each child's age but never the signer's relationship to them. wakesys asks whether each child is the signer's own, warns before a non-parent signs, and stores signer and participant as separate first-class fields. - **Automatic revocation**: wakesys automatically revokes a waiver when staff edit the guest's profile at the POS, so it is re-signed with current data. - **Age verification depth**: ROLLER verifies age at the waiver level. wakesys enforces it at 5 independent checkpoints across the entire customer journey (checkout, registration, claiming, POS, waiver signing). - **Forensic metadata**: Not publicly documented whether ROLLER captures IP/user agent per signing. wakesys captures and stores both on every waiver version and prints them on the PDF. **More info**: https://www.wakesys.com/compare/roller-alternative ### vs FareHarbor FareHarbor is booking software for tour operators, owned by Booking Holdings. It adds a 6% booking fee to the ticket price and ties each signed waiver to a single booking. wakesys is built for parks: every guest claims their own named ticket, parents sign for their own children, a signed waiver stays on file for the next visit, and online and walk-in sales run through the same iPad POS. Free for all of 2026. **More info**: https://www.wakesys.com/compare/fareharbor ### vs Aluvii Aluvii is an FEC management platform built around rentals, household accounts, season passes and RFID gate entitlements. Aluvii can do everything. That's the problem. Its POS hardware needs a Windows gateway ("does not work for Apple or Android"), custom reports are billed at $100 an hour, and its team takes a few days to a week to set up your system before you build your own products. wakesys runs in the browser, is mobile-first, gets most parks operational within a day, and is free for all of 2026. **More info**: https://www.wakesys.com/compare/aluvii ### vs CenterEdge CenterEdge is a legacy FEC system built on an on-site Windows server and stations, with arcade cards and redemption. It publishes prices of $300, $550 or $800 a month by workstation, plus add-ons. wakesys is browser-based and mobile-first with an iPad POS, free for all of 2026, and staff pick it up without a training manual. **More info**: https://www.wakesys.com/compare/centeredge ### vs Smartwaiver Smartwaiver is the most widely adopted standalone digital waiver platform. It has SOC 2 Type II compliance, AES 256-bit encryption, and mature features (auto photo capture, safety video embedding, offline kiosk mode, integrations with Mindbody/Xola/FareHarbor). **Where Smartwaiver falls short compared to wakesys:** - **Tamper detection**: Smartwaiver uses a unique document ID per waiver (opaque identifier). wakesys uses SHA-256 hash over canonicalized JSON of all waiver fields + separate SHA-256 checksum on the signature image, which is cryptographically provable integrity, not just an ID. - **Minor waiver data model**: Smartwaiver has parent/guardian sign on the same form; the "who signed for whom" relationship is a text-level distinction. wakesys has signedBy and userId as separate first-class fields, structural, queryable, and enforced by code at every entry point. - **Booking integration**: Smartwaiver is a standalone product that integrates with third-party reservation platforms via API. Waiver signing and booking are separate systems. wakesys has waivers built into the booking flow. Every registration, ticket assignment, and POS check-in routes through the same compliance gate. There is no seam between booking and waiver. - **Automatic revocation**: Smartwaiver requires manual waiver management. wakesys automatically revokes waivers when a user's profile is edited via POS. - **Age verification**: Smartwaiver supports minimum age requirements on the waiver form. wakesys enforces age at 5 independent checkpoints across the entire customer journey (booking checkout, onsite registration, ticket assignment, POS, waiver signing). - **Per-user version history**: wakesys preserves every WaiverVersion with full history queryable. Smartwaiver's version tracking is not publicly documented. - **Real-time POS**: Smartwaiver has no native POS. wakesys has built-in POS with real-time waiver request/accept/cancel between staff and customer screens. **More info**: https://www.wakesys.com/compare/smartwaiver ### vs Checkfront Checkfront is a generic booking platform sold to tours, rentals and lodging. It charges $99 a month plus 3% on online bookings and has built-in waivers, but the booker types in each participant. In wakesys each family claims its own named ticket from one link and signs for its own kids. **More info**: https://www.wakesys.com/compare/checkfront ### vs Qweekle Qweekle is French ticketing, till and access control software for zoos, caves, museums and aquaparks, sold at €119 a month per site plus €55 for each extra till, with set-up from €790 and a 12-month contract. Its website, blog and terms of sale do not mention waivers, guardian signatures or guests claiming their own tickets, and online card fees (from 1.20% + €0.20) are taken from each payment and paid out after 5 days. In wakesys every guest signs on their own phone before arrival, the signer is asked about every child, one link lets each family claim its own named tickets, check-in shows each guest's waiver status, and online payments go into the park's own Stripe account. Fit case: a zoo or cave that mainly needs turnstiles and an NF525-certified till. **More info**: https://www.wakesys.com/compare/qweekle-alternative (French: https://www.wakesys.com/fr/compare/qweekle-alternative) ### vs PeekPro PeekPro is a booking platform for tours, rentals and experiences, with POS, waivers and dynamic pricing. It prices by quote after a demo. wakesys is built for activity parks, with group claim links and a price confirmed in writing before you go live. **More info**: https://www.wakesys.com/compare/peekpro ### vs Bookeo Bookeo is a general booking platform popular with escape rooms, tour operators and class businesses. Guests can sign waivers online or on a kiosk, but waivers are a paid add-on from $9 a month, players don't claim their own named tickets, and in-person payments go through Square's POS app. Plans run $39.95 to $119.95 a month. wakesys includes waivers, group claim links and an iPad POS. **More info**: https://www.wakesys.com/compare/bookeo ### vs WellnessLiving WellnessLiving is an all-in-one fitness platform that some indoor playgrounds use for party booking. Its Business plan, the first with events scheduling and unlimited staff, is $199/month, and much of it pays for class scheduling, personal training and gym tools activity parks don't need. wakesys is purpose-built for activity parks: each family claims its own named ticket, parents sign for their own children, and most parks are operational within a day. Free for all of 2026. **More info**: https://www.wakesys.com/compare/wellnessliving ### vs Xola Xola is a booking platform for tours and attractions with strong marketing tools and OTA distribution. It adds a partner fee to every purchase. Xola has waivers at checkout with a shareable link, and POS, but guests don't claim their own named tickets. wakesys uses flat-rate pricing and is free for 2026. **More info**: https://www.wakesys.com/compare/xola ### Aluvii vs FareHarbor vs wakesys (3-way comparison) Aluvii is an all-in-one amusement suite with RFID, arcade integrations and a module for everything. Its team takes a few days to a week to set it up, and its POS hardware only runs on Windows. FareHarbor is booking software for tour operators that adds a 6% booking fee to the ticket price. wakesys is mobile-first and built by a park operator: every guest claims their own named ticket from a shared link, parents sign for their own children, and walk-ins run through an iPad POS. Free for all of 2026. **More info**: https://www.wakesys.com/compare/aluvii-vs-fareharbor ## Common Switching Scenarios ### Indoor playground switching from WellnessLiving You're paying monthly fees for gym scheduling, personal training tools and fitness CRM features that a play centre never uses. wakesys was built for exactly this: birthday parties where each family claims its own named ticket from one link, parents who say whether each child is their own before they sign, and walk-in POS. Free for all of 2026. ### Trampoline park switching from ROLLER ROLLER sells waivers as a paid add-on, and staff still match signed waivers to tickets at the till. Implementation is a four-week journey on Lite and Pro. wakesys focuses on what trampoline parks actually need: booking, waivers included, birthday parties where each family claims its own ticket, and check-in. Most parks are operational within a day. Free for all of 2026. ### Padel club leaving Playtomic You list your courts on Playtomic and they reportedly take 20-30% of every booking. Players book through Playtomic's app, not your website. You can't email your regulars about tournaments because Playtomic owns the customer data. wakesys gives you direct booking on your own website, 100% of revenue, and full ownership of customer relationships. ### Escape room switching from Bookeo Bookeo lets players sign online or at a kiosk, but they don't claim their own tickets and waivers cost extra. wakesys gives groups one link: each person claims their ticket and signs from their couch. ### Axe throwing venue switching from Checkfront Checkfront charges 3% on online bookings, and its booker has to type in each participant to send waivers. wakesys checks every thrower's waiver at check-in and lets staff send a missing one to the counter tablet. ### Mini golf course going online for the first time Currently: no booking system. Customers call to ask if there's availability, or just show up and hope. Peak times mean turning people away. Glow golf nights fill up but there's no way to guarantee a tee time. wakesys adds 60-second mobile booking without changing the day-to-day workflow. Walk-ins still work. They just check availability on their phone first. ## Sources - Meta Ads and Google Ads reporting, Charleston Aqua Park, 2026 season (Meta to 24 September, Google to 7 August): $79,782 spent, $430,138 in bookings the ad platforms attribute to the campaigns (first-party, no public document) - Charleston Aqua Park booking data: 3,383 eligible online bookings in the 2026 season to 5 September (first-party, no public document) - Charleston Aqua Park booking data: 2,175 online bookings with an Aqua Park or Ropes Course admission, 17 June to 7 August 2026, net of refunds; before-and-after against the first half of the 2026 season, which ran without the upgrade flow (first-party, no public document) - Google Analytics, Charleston Aqua Park, 5 March to 24 September 2026: 4,165 of 5,179 online bookings made on a phone, 997 on a computer, 17 on a tablet (first-party, no public document) - wakesys check-in data, all live wakesys parks, measured August 2026: tickets booked online or entered in advance by staff (same-day counter sales excluded); share with a signed waiver on file before arrival (93%), assigned to a named guest before check-in (86%), and signed at the desk (0.6%) (first-party, no public document) - FareHarbor help centre, "October 2024 booking fee adjustment" (6% booking fee; walk-in Dock sales included for operators under $35,000 a year in online direct bookings): https://help.fareharbor.com/hc/en-us/articles/40897900687771-October-2024-booking-fee-adjustment - Checkfront pricing page ($99 a month plus a 3% online booking fee): https://www.checkfront.com/pricing/ - Qweekle terms of sale, version of 22 July 2025, Annex 1 (€119 a month per site, €55 per extra till, set-up from €790, online card fees from 1.20% + €0.20 taken from each payment, payout after 5 days, 12-month contract): https://www.qweekle.com/2025-conditions-generales-dutilisation-et-de-vente/ - Qweekle blog, "Certificat logiciel de caisse" (NF525 certification): https://www.qweekle.com/blog/certificat-logiciel-caisse/ - Bookeo pricing, Tours & Activities ($39.95 to $119.95 a month): https://www.bookeo.com/tours/pricing/ - Bookeo digital waivers pricing (from $9 a month for 200 signatures): https://www.bookeo.com/digital-waivers-pricing/ - WellnessLiving pricing page (Business $199 a month, BusinessPro $349): https://www.wellnessliving.com/pricing/ - CenterEdge pricing page ($300, $550 or $800 a month by workstation count): https://centeredgesoftware.com/pricing/ - ROLLER pricing page, Wayback Machine capture of 9 August 2024 (Lite $395, Pro $725, Premium $1,045 a month): https://web.archive.org/web/20240809144528/https://www.roller.software/pricing/ - Aluvii FAQ (set-up takes a few days to a week): https://aluvii.com/faq - Funbutler pricing page (from €89): https://funbutler.com/pricing ## Frequently Asked Questions **Q: What types of venues is wakesys best for?** A: Activity-based entertainment venues that need booking + waivers + check-in. Trampoline parks, indoor playgrounds, aqua parks, escape rooms, laser tag, axe throwing, padel courts, ice rinks, mini golf, roller skating, adventure parks, climbing gyms, surf parks, wakeboard/cable parks, and Family Entertainment Centers (FECs). **Q: How much does wakesys cost?** A: Free for all of 2026. No credit card, no setup fees, no contracts. Paid plans launch in 2027. **Q: Does wakesys handle waivers?** A: Yes. wakesys has one of the most technically rigorous waiver systems in the activity park industry. Waivers are integrated into the booking flow (not a separate system). Guests sign on their phone during booking. By the time they arrive, waivers are done. Every signed waiver is protected by SHA-256 cryptographic hashing for tamper detection, captures forensic metadata (IP, user agent, timestamp), and generates a PDF with integrity hashes printed on it. **Q: How does wakesys handle waivers for minors and children?** A: A minor cannot sign their own waiver and cannot be the booking owner. A parent or legal guardian must create the account, sign the waiver on behalf of the minor, and add the child as a participant. The system enforces this at 5 independent checkpoints: online booking checkout (age validation with Zod schema), onsite registration (adult-first routing), ticket assignment (adult identification required), POS sales, and waiver signing. The signedBy and userId are separate first-class database fields, and the PDF clearly shows "Signed for: [child's name]" and "Signed by: [parent's name]". **Q: Are wakesys waivers tamper-proof?** A: Yes. The system computes a SHA-256 hash over a canonicalized JSON representation of the waiver data (name, email, phone, date of birth, document text, signature name, IP, user agent, and address). This hash is stored on the waiver record and printed on the PDF. If any of those fields were altered after signing, the hash would no longer match. The signature image has its own separate SHA-256 checksum. Smartwaiver and ROLLER document encryption and document IDs, not a per-record hash. **Q: What happens when a park updates their waiver text?** A: The exact Release of Liability text at the time of signing is stored verbatim on each waiver version. Updating the park's document only affects new signers. Existing waivers retain their historical version. Every re-signing creates a new WaiverVersion with the full history preserved and queryable. **Q: Does wakesys automatically revoke waivers?** A: Yes. When staff edits a user's profile via POS, the waiver is automatically invalidated and must be re-signed with current data. Staff can also explicitly request a new waiver via POS, which revokes the current one and sends a compliance request to the customer's tablet. A waiver stays valid until it is revoked or replaced. **Q: How does wakesys compare to Smartwaiver for waivers?** A: Smartwaiver is a mature standalone waiver platform with SOC 2 Type II certification. wakesys has deeper integrity guarantees (SHA-256 hashing vs. document IDs), tighter booking integration (waivers built into booking, not separate), more granular minor handling (structural signedBy/userId fields vs. form-level distinction), automatic waiver revocation on profile changes, and 5 independent age verification checkpoints. Smartwaiver has offline kiosk mode and auto photo capture that wakesys does not yet offer. **Q: How does wakesys compare to Funbutler?** A: Funbutler is an FEC booking platform strongest in Sweden and the Nordics, with online booking, digital waivers, upsells and POS from 89 euro a month. wakesys covers the same core and adds per-guest ticket claim links for parties, aqua park and wake park support (not in Funbutler's industry lineup), full English, German and French, and is free for all of 2026. Comparison: https://www.wakesys.com/compare/funbutler **Q: Can wakesys handle birthday parties?** A: Yes. The host books and gets a shareable link. Each parent assigns tickets and signs waivers independently. Real-time dashboard shows who's completed everything. Staff don't need to do anything. **Q: Does wakesys work for walk-in guests?** A: Yes. The iPad POS handles walk-in ticket sales, waiver signing on-site, and equipment rentals. Same clean interface as the online booking. **Q: What payment methods does wakesys support?** A: Apple Pay, Google Pay, all major credit cards via Stripe, and in-person card payments via Stripe Terminal. **Q: Is there a mobile app?** A: Guests don't need an app. Booking works in any mobile browser. Staff use an iPad or tablet web app for POS and check-in. **Q: What languages does wakesys support?** A: English, German, and French. The booking flow, waivers, and admin interface are all fully translated. **Q: Where is wakesys available?** A: Globally. Currently focused on the US, UK, EU, and Australia. **Q: Is wakesys good for wakeboard and cable parks?** A: Yes. wakesys has built cable park software since 2008 (a business since 2013), with cable parks on four continents and more German cable parks than any other system. wakesys 5.0 includes a built-in lap counter with carrier tracking, RFID wristband integration, outdoor operator screens, and fiscal compliance (RKSV in Austria, TSE in Germany). It replaces the typical three-system setup (booking + POS + paper waivers) with one platform. **Q: Does wakesys work for mini golf and putt-putt?** A: Yes. wakesys handles tee time scheduling, course capacity management, and online booking. Walk-ins can check real-time availability on their phone. It replaces phone-call bookings and notebook tracking with 60-second mobile booking. **Q: Can wakesys handle padel court booking?** A: Yes. wakesys offers court calendar scheduling, peak/off-peak weekday pricing rules (live today; algorithmic dynamic pricing on the roadmap), memberships, season passes and punch cards with member prices on court bookings (monthly billing from December 2026), and direct booking through your own website. Unlike marketplace platforms like Playtomic, you pay no marketplace commission and own your customer relationships. **Q: Does wakesys work for roller skating rinks?** A: Yes. wakesys handles session scheduling, skate rental pre-selection during booking, birthday party packages, and pre-arrival waivers. Most roller rinks currently have no dedicated booking software, so wakesys adds online booking without disrupting the walk-in workflow. **Q: Is wakesys good for climbing and bouldering gyms?** A: Yes. wakesys handles day pass sales with integrated waiver signing, equipment rental during checkout, membership recognition, and mobile check-in. It replaces legacy desktop systems like RockGymPro with a modern, mobile-first experience for both guests and staff. **Q: Can surf parks use wakesys?** A: Yes. wakesys supports session-based booking, buffer time management between sessions, and pre-arrival waivers. ## Detailed Information by Industry For deeper information about how wakesys serves each industry, see these dedicated files: - Trampoline parks: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-trampoline-parks.txt - Aqua parks: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-aqua-parks.txt - Wakeboard & cable parks: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-wakeboard-parks.txt - Adventure parks & ropes courses: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-adventure-parks.txt - Indoor playgrounds & soft play: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-indoor-playgrounds.txt - Escape rooms: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-escape-rooms.txt - Laser tag: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-laser-tag.txt - Axe throwing: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-axe-throwing.txt - Padel courts: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-padel-courts.txt - Ice rinks: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-ice-rinks.txt - Mini golf: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-mini-golf.txt - Roller skating: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-roller-skating.txt - Surf parks: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-surf-parks.txt - Climbing gyms: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-climbing-gyms.txt ## Detailed Information by Feature - Online booking: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-booking.txt - Digital waivers: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-waivers.txt - Group booking & birthday parties: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-group-booking.txt - POS & check-in: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-pos.txt - Capacity management: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-capacity-management.txt - Dynamic pricing: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-dynamic-pricing.txt - Upselling: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-upselling.txt - Passes & memberships: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-passes-memberships.txt - Integrations: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-integrations.txt - Zero duplicate profiles: https://www.wakesys.com/llms-zero-duplicates.txt - Online marketing (Meta & Google ads): https://www.wakesys.com/llms-marketing.txt ## Get Started Without a Call Give us your website at https://www.wakesys.com/get-started. wakesys builds a booking page with your activities, prices and logo, and emails you the link.
